Congrats to British singer Adele and her hubby Simon Konecki, People
magazine reported on Sunday (Oct. 21) that the 24-year-old "Skyfall"
songstress recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy! Little information
has yet to be released on the birth and newborn, but one inside source
claims, "We are all over the moon."
Adele has remained relatively hush-hush about her pregnancy, but she did post an announcement on her website
back in June that her and 38-year-old Konecki were expecting a little
bundle of joy sometime soon. This is the couple's first child together -
Konecki has a younger daughter from his first marriage. Adele wrote on
June 29, 2012: "I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first
child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me - obviously
we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at
this precious time."
Soon after the happy announcement, rumors started to spread that
Adele was further along in her pregnancy than fans initially thought,
and that she could be due as soon as early September. Pictures of
Adele's ever-growing baby bump started to spread on the web like
wildfire in August, and reports even had it that her and Konecki were
secretly engaged. Adele quieted that rumor, posting on her twitter: "I'm
not married...Zzzzzzz."
Now that their little bundle of joy has finally arrived (no name or
date of birth yet), maybe marriage isn't totally out of the question?
Looks like Adele has a lot to be happy about right now - along with her
first newborn, the Grammy Award winner recently released some new
material. The James Bond theme song "Skyfall" has already received rave
reviews (check it out on iTunes).
Not only that, but supposedly Adele has been working on a new album
throughout her pregnancy, and the tone of the tunes on this record are
much "happier" and "lighter" (thanks to the positive impact of expecting
a baby!). Congrats to the happy couple!
